Complimentary Initial Consultation
There is no fee for your initial consultation. At your first visit, Dr. Amrit Burn and her team will take the time to understand your orthodontic concerns, and develop a diagnosis and treatment plan(s) to meet your goals. You will have the opportunity to discuss details of the treatment options available including financing. We are excited to help you get started on your way to a brand new smile.
Orthodontics for Adults and Children
The latest research in orthodontics suggests that children should see an orthodontist by the time they turn seven years old to determine if/when they will need treatment. The first permanent molars and incisors usually come in by age seven, enabling Dr. Burn to screen for and evaluate developing eruption or growth problems. Most children can and should wait until later to begin treatment, but it is important to rule out a number of serious orthodontic problems that are not easily fixed after age 9.
For our adult patients, it's never too late to have the beautiful smile you deserve. Often, we have adult patients that might have had some orthodontic treatment in the past, and have noticed some relapse over the years. Other times, there may be some dental work planned that would be optimized if the teeth were repositioned first. We have more esthetic and gentler options that were not available in the past, making orthodontic treatment for adults easier than ever. Over the years, our Seattle, Washington practice has treated many adults. In fact, one in five orthodontic patients is twenty-one or older.
Types of Orthodontics
We offer a variety of orthodontic treatment options - from Invisalign (transparent removable aligners that gradually move the teeth into place), to ceramic braces that are barely visible, to metal braces that provide you with the option for adding colored elastics. For children, often we must consider orthopedic treatment options to help direct the growth of the jaws to an ideal position. Each patient is unique, so not all options will work for everyone. Dr. Burn will help you determine the best option(s) in your case.
